You can blur or change your background either before joining a meeting or while you’re already in one.

Before you join a meeting

1. Join your Teams meeting as normal.
2. On the screen before you enter the meeting, select Effects and avatars.
   
   
   
3. Select 'More video effects'
   
   
   
4. Select 'Show all' and locate the branded backgrounds. (these will be towards the bottom if you haven't used one previously)
   

   
   

   
   
5. Click Join now — your background will be applied when you enter the meeting.

During a meeting

1. In the meeting toolbar, select … More actions.
2. Select Video effects and settings.
   
   
   
3. Select 'Show all' and locate the branded backgrounds. (these will be towards the bottom if you haven't used one previously)
   
   
   
4. Click Apply to turn it on straight away.
