Before you start

  • Use a computer to open the Optus email (you’ll need it to generate the QR code).


  1. Step 1 — Authenticate on your computer (Optus email)

    1. Open your email on your computer.

    2. Find the email from Optus with the Authenticate link/button.

    3. Click Authenticate.

    4. On the Optus validation page, enter:

      • Full Name

      • Email address

    5. Click Generate OTP code.


  2. Step 2 — Enter OTP and display the QR code

    1. Check your email for the OTP code (may take 1–2 minutes).

    2. Go back to the Optus page and enter the OTP.

    3. After validation, a QR code will appear — leave this page open on your computer.


  3. Step 3 — Add the eSIM on your iPhone (scan the QR code)

    1. On your iPhone, go to Settings.

    2. Tap Mobile.

    3. Tap Add eSIM.

    4. Tap Use QR Code.

    5. Use your iPhone camera to scan the QR code shown on your computer.

    6. Follow the prompts and tap Continue to complete setup.


  4. Quick troubleshooting (iPhone)

    • No OTP received: Check Junk/Spam, then click Generate OTP code again.

    • QR won’t scan: Increase your computer screen brightness and hold the phone steady ~15–20 cm away.

    • Activation fails: Connect to Wi-Fi and retry once. If it still fails, contact IT support
