Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) allows you to reset your own password securely—no need to contact the IT Helpdesk.

Follow the steps below to register your authentication methods.

✅ Step 1: Go to the Registration Page

  1. Open this link: https://aka.ms/ssprsetup

  2. Sign in with your Freighter email and password.
    Example: [email protected]

🔄 What You’ll See

Depending on whether you’ve set up security info before:

👤 First-Time Setup

You’ll be guided through a setup wizard and required to register authentication methods before continuing.

🔐 Already Registered

You’ll see your current methods and can add, update, or remove them.

🔧 Set Up Authentication Methods

📱 Microsoft Authenticator App (Recommended)

  1. Download the Microsoft Authenticator app from the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Choose Mobile App during setup and select “Receive notifications for verification.”

  3. Scan the QR code shown on screen.

📵 On your phone and can't scan the QR code?
Tap “Can’t scan the QR code?” and follow the manual setup instructions in the app instead.

📞 Phone (Call or Text)

  1. Choose Authentication Phone.

  2. Enter your mobile number.

  3. Choose to receive a text or call to verify.

💡 Tip: Set up at least two methods in case one becomes unavailable.
