- Turn on your iPhone by pressing and holding the button on the right hand side of the device
- Swipe up on the 'Hello' screen
- Select your language & region.
- Select your appearance
- If this is your first work phone, select 'Set up without another device' otherwise, If you are transferring from an old work iPhone to a new one you can skip most of the setup process by using the 'quick start' function(not covered in this help article).
- Connect to a Wi-Fi network, if you are at work select MXT_Guest, the password is: guestMXTpass987
- On the Data & Privacy screen select continue.
- Select 'Don't transfer anything' (other setup methods no covered in help article)
- Select 'Enrol this iPhone'
- Wait for the iPhone to complete the enrolment process.
- Setup 'Face ID' if you want to, this can be done later on if desired.
- Create a passcode for your iPhone, this must be 6 characters long and can't be repeated numbers (eg. 111111), you will need to enter it a second time to confirm it.
- Sign into your Apple ID if you already have one, most staff members will create a separate "work" Apple ID with their work email, this is what we recommend in the IT department, to create a new Apple ID, select the 'forgot password or don't have an Apple ID' and select and follow the prompts to create an Apple ID.
- You should now be taken to the iPhone default app screen, shortly three applications will install on your iPhone, these are Microsoft Authenticator, JAMF & Company Portal, once Company portal has installed please launch it as we will need to configure this to be able to access emails successfully on the iPhone.
- Click sign in and enter your work email address and click next, you will be then prompted for your computer password, if you have replaced your previous phone you may be prompted to approve your sign in request on your authenticator, if you have access to the old phone approve the prompt, if you don't have access to your authenticator select the 'I cant use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now' and follow the prompts, if you are unable to progress, please contact IT at this point for assistance.
- Follow the prompts in the company portal application to complete the registration.
- Once the above has been completed, you have finished configuring your iPhone for use at Maxitrans.
