How to map a drive

 

In order to map a network drive on your computer first open up file explorer.

 

It is located on your task bar.

Once file explorer is open on the side bar click on “This PC”

Once clicking on this, on the top bar click computer and you’ll have a top bar drop down.

You’ll see an option called map network drive, click on this and you’ll be able to map a drive.

A box will pop up and will ask you to pick a letter for a drive and then ask you to map a network link.

List of common network areas:

** Please be advised this is not based on your location but the location of the file.

E.G. If you are based in Richlands and you are trying to map a folder in Derrimut’s servers you will have to use \\fs2\

 

FS1 – Wendouree

FS2 – Derrimut

DC3 – Richlands

DC4 – Hallam

DC5 – Dandenong

DC6 – Truganina

DC7 – New Zealand

DC9 – Gladstone

DC10 – Rocklea

DC11 – Wingfield

DC12 – Smeaton Grange

ENG1 – Engineering

After entering the desired network link click finish and it will take you to the mapped drive.
